Manchester Day Parade

‘Out of this World’

Created by Manchester People, commissioned by Manchester City Council, and produced by Walk the Plank, the first Manchester Day Parade .

90 community groups and 1800 volunteers from all over the city worked together to create wonderful costumes, fabulous floats and amazing wheeled structures.

A feast of colour, sound, dance, and a magnificent atmosphere, the parade weaved its magic through the city centre, and the people of Manchester celebrated what makes their city great.
